39lbs of boost.........whoa
39lbs of boost.........whoa
Yup, with no load and accelerating as fast as i can threw the gears, i get a peak of 39 lbs of boost and about 1100 deg pre-turbo in 5th. 8) After that it levels to maby 30-32 and then it cuts it even more back as the gov. defuels. I didnt think a number 8 plate alone on a 175hp truck would build this much boost empty. Its only like 2mm forward. Is this normal and am i going to hurt anything. Its slow building to about 10psi, but after that it takes off like a rocket. Chris
Re:39lbs of boost.........whoa
I'm pulling 42#s boosts, no delay on mine right off the line from 0 to 42 steady ,after about 95 mph it starts to drop steadly to about 20 to 25 #s around 100 to 105 mph, exhaust temp 1250 to 1350 ,dont worry stand on it eat some fords for lunch 97 1 ton auto #12 slide plate all tweaked and peaked and still got some left !!!!!!!!!( slide plate about 1/4 of an inch before stock any thing else way to hot need more cool down parts ) 8) ;D
Re:39lbs of boost.........whoa
Before my clutch started slipping I was getting 40 psi of boost. All My mods are 300hp inj and a #10 camplate modified and slid all the way.
Now it hits 35 and is already slipping the clutch.
I want to put one good ward in for centerforce. The clutch is very driveable. In city driving it is easyer on my leg than the stock. It does hold about 300hp alright. The stock would slip at that.
