Clutch wont disengage

Am in the process of swaping in a nv4500 into my 94 dodge that had an automatic. I got it all swaped in and running I can row through the gears with the truck off but as soon as I start the truck I cant get it to find any gears other than reverse and even then it slips in and with the clutch fully depressed it still wont stop. I bought all the parts in boxs and thinking that the slave/master cyl is bad. I am running a southbend dual disk 3600 with 4000 miles on it. I didnt replace the piolt or throughout bearing bearing as they are fairly new, but they have sat for 4-5 months with no use same as all the other parts.
Any idea what could cause this to happen other than the slave/master cyl.?

I'm not sure about the 94's but is your slave cylinder internal or external? On my 07 the external slave just unbolts and hangs out of the way but if you had to remove an internal slave cylinder i would recommend bleeding it off to get all the air out of the system. Any air at all will compress in the lines rather than actuate the push rod that disengages your clutch. Hope that helps, good luck.

It is external I tried bleeding ti with not to much luck Might not be doing ti right. My thought was to call southbend see what they have for upgraded hydrauilic system and order the bearigns as well. Start by replacing the master/slave if that doesnt fix it couldnt it be the piolt and throughout bearing?

will let you know I have about had it with this setup my truck has been down for 2 weeks now and I just want to drive it. I am thinking that the stock master/slave is just to weak to push it back anymore. About how I feel after this whole swap. I am about ready to burn the whole truck and trans and start fresh.

I hear ya. mine was down for 6months befor I could get it driveable. I had the trans and clutch out 3 or 4 times. quite a few frustration dents in the truck now I do think you need the upgraded hydrolics though for anything above a 3200. hopefully thats it for you.

I am hoping I had to call them last week for a new alighnment tool and they were really good to deal with so lets hope its as good this time. I will let you know what I find. HOping its only the hydraulics so I dont have to pull the trans out again. I need to have the truck running for a trip to conneticut this coming weekend we will see what happens
