Which clutch kit

I'm looking for a clutch kit for the 94 in my sig. The only thing on it that isn't there is a Spearco ic. I've never had it on a dyno but I estimate ~300/700. The only other upgrades I might do are marine 370s and a super b. I drive it as easy as I can, but I do tow a lot and occasionally up over 20k lbs. I don't really think I need a South Bend like clutch; I just want to get the best clutch for the $. What do you recommend? Are there any that I should avoid?

Thanks in advance,
Nick

After doing some research it appears I would be and idiot if I didn't get a South Bend or Valair. Any advantage to one over the other?

They each have their supporters. I like SB, others swear by Valair.

I would call Peter at SB and whoever runs Valair ( Dan? ) and ask them for their recommendations for your particular need.

I can guarantee Peter won't sell you more than you need.

After you get a part number, hit Lary ( TOP ) up here for a good price, he is a softy........

No knowledge of Valair.

I guess I'll chip in for valair.
I started with their 12.25 full ceramic, ended up smoking it on a sled pull. Wasn't good for towing or plowing. It had 10k miles on it, they still put the total value of the old clutch towards a 13" Kevlar/ceramic button kit. Good customer service IMHO.

Now have over 60k on it, holding up very good, still feels new. Lots of plowing, hauling, towing on it. I'd buy another.

The SBC OKHD would be plenty of clutch. Available here if there's a 1st gen application.
