Clutch has started to slip in 5th gear. Can anyone provide me with a link that outlines the best way to swap it out with all the helpful tips so I'll know what kind of tools I'll need and what to expect.

It's a 1994, 180K and completely stock so I'll probably go back with a stock clutch.

It is straight forwardand and easy other than being heavy. If you have access to an tranny or ATV jack you may want to get ahold of it. You can shore up the jack with chunks of wood to get it at the right angle. A bottle jack under the front of the motor was nice also to clear the shifter tower from the floor board. Leave the Xfer case mounted and just roll the whole unit backwards. Dont forget to pull the motor to bell housing adapter and check/replace the rear main. It will alraedy be apart.
The bottle jack and a couple of 4x4 blocks are nice for spreading the frame for the cross member. Some people say you dont need to spread it but mine took a little coaxing. Look and you will see the cross member is tapered. Use a screwdriver and a hammer to pull the trans shifter lever. Set the screwdriver point in the little cup and hit down and counter clockwise to pop it loose. Reverse to reinstall. Other than that have access to a 16MM socket for the shifter linkage.

I just did mine and the worst parts were getting the trans shaft to go into the pilot bearing and getting the crossmember back in. But the links were very helpful to me.

When I put my clutch in we made a cradle out of 2x4's to fit up around the transmission. Also mado one that fit the t-case. It does great at balancing them if you pull them together. Just two floor jacks and two people, or may be able to do it by yourself. Also be sure to leave the tranny in 1st gear and the t-case in 4wd when you pull them. That way when you go to install them you can turn the front output on the t-case and it will turn the input shaft of the tranny to line the splines up. Hope this helps.
