Competent Clutch Installation in San Jose, CA?

I hope to have a South Bend clutch installed in the next month or two. I'm in San Jose for work, so I'm wondering if there are any shops down here that are competent enough to install one?

Reason I ask is I had a shop up in Dublin (Schuck's Transmission) do the South Bend install on my '01 a few years back, and they screwed up two of them because of their refusal to read the instructions or use a torque wrench. I ended up having Brandon do the installation at his shop way down south. I'd like to avoid going down there again if possible (but I will if necessary).

Thanks!

Rob

The only place in the Bay Area that I've had good luck with transmission-wise is Walnut Creek Transmission.

They are an hour away, but I'd rather spend the two hours on the road than two hours on the phone arguing over shoddy results.

I'm not saying that there aren't any good shops in the south bay. I'm just not aware of any.

I hear great things about Tri Valley performance and believe them to be a sight sponser. I will be driving down there from medford Oregon to have them do my goerend tranny work done. Just need the $$$$. It will be a 5 hour trip for me.

Bayside Transmission did a rebuild on my auto and I was pleased with them. The owner knew about the various things to improve reliability and since he races I'm sure he understands what important for a performance clutch. They're in Palo Alto on San Antonio Road.
