can u tell a good vs bad overflow valve by visual inspection?
can u tell a good vs bad overflow valve by visual inspection?
if i take that valve out can i instantly see if i need a new one or is this an internal thing? i know there's a procedure for checkign the overflow valve but i was hoping i could tell by looking at it

You can look inside the hole to see if the spring is broken. Make sure that the ball is actually sealing the inlet hole. Other than that, I've been told you can hook up a gauge and see if there is enought pressure. Never done that, maybe someone else will chime in.
