I have a couple Fleetguard oil filters part#LF16035. Can I use these filters on my 12 valve? And If so, what about the Fleetguard fuel filters, will those fit?

I think your oil filter will work fine as I use a third gen filter on my second gen truck but your fuel filter is made different.

I too used a 3rd gen oil filter on my 12v on my last oil change. I'm pretty sure the fuel filters will not work since I think even between different years of 12v the fuel filters are different.

3rd gen to 12v is fine but not the other way around. The newer filters have a higher burst rating than the old 12v filters.

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like the consensus is to go ahead with the oil filters, but not the fuel filters. I guess I kind of already knew the answer about the fuel filters because when you look them up on Geno's they do look different.

Hey WhiteLightnin, I spent a few months over in Oki. myself! Man, that is a beautiful country, enjoy every minute there! If you get a chance head over to Camp Schwab and go down to the beach, you can snorkel and there are a couple of small islands to swim out to. I would love to go back as a civilian and take my wife! Plus I have some friends there.

If its a Fleetguard you are good to go either way 3rd to 12v or 12v to 3rd.

The fuel filters are physically different and will not work.
