a/c cleanup

hi,
I need to remove the evaporater in my 97 3500 along with my friend who is a certified deisel mechanic, and he needs a manual to help him see the dash parts and any other stuff that needs to be removed in this truck and back flush the system because the hi-end pressure is too high and the low end is not right either. He says there is some debree in the evaporater since we already replaced the drier and sucked out the system. where can i find an oem a/c book that will detail this procedure? thanks.......craig

You need a FSM, but there is also a very good thread on here about doing the change without pulling the whole dash.

Make sure it isn't just a clogged orifice tube, IIRC that is one of the reasons for high side being too high.

Genos Garage sells a FSM on either disk or print for 85 bucks....

Im voting for the orifice tube also. You can get them for under $10, and its ALOT easier to change than pulling the dash.
