Breakover Spring Adjustment (VE)

Alright, well a post on another site got me thinking that hey, I have never done this before and what am I missing?

I have gone through all the other adjustments, full load fuel, AFC Eccentric, star wheel, nylon stopper on AFC, Governor adjustments, linkage replacement/adjustment...You get the idea.

But the question came up about the breakover spring adjustment.

• What exactly does the breakover spring do and what does the adjustment do for you??
 • How do you actually adjust this critical component?

Any and all help appreciated

J-eh
