boost/vacume plastic lines..

I have broke a few of these while working on the truck and i got some questions in reguards to my fix. The ends of the stock lines are flared up a bit for a better seal in the rubber connectors, well the plastic vacume line i replaced the damaged section with DOES NOT have flared ends. So i usually put some superglue around the end then put it in the rubber fitting or do that and a small zip tie on the outside. Im scared these sections i replaced might leak, what do most people do when these break, like I did? or go to the dealer and get a new section?

Thanks,

Garrett

Sounds like you're making a decent repair. I'll usually find a piece of vacuum hose that fits tightly over the plastic line, then splice them together that way. Sometimes I'll then put a piece of heat shrink tubing over the hose splice and shrink it all together. I haven't tried gluing the plastic line to the rubber end, it may work very well. Let us know.
