boost seem right?

1998 12v auto

custom ground #10 plate

timing at 16*

star wheel way loose and plate slid forward but not all the way

no other motor modifications

getting max of 36psi

i havent touched the wastegate, i was under the impression that u had to get a "boost elbow" to get much over 24 psi on a stock turbo? am i wrong?

I get 32 PSI when I floor it from a stop. I got 34 PSI once at a hard accelleration uphill. Haven't had a single problem with it.

96 12V auto: Stock turbo, 15.5-degree timing, #6 plate.

Oh yeah, I'm moving to Papua New Guinea and have to sell it...

Sounds weird that you can get that much boost unless the wastegate was disabled by someone else...

I have a boost elbow with a 10 plate and 191 dv's , and I'm hitting 35PSI max.

I am going to be doing some experimenting this weekend with my wastegate , I will let you know what it does when it is hooked up again.
