Block heater?

Well its been getting cold out and I never thought about it but my truck doens't have a block heater (atleast I don;t think it does)
I looked all over the engine for itand can;t find it. I wanna know were it is or did some trucks come with them as an option. I assumed ever ctd came with one. If it doesn;t have one what do I have to do to put one on.
Any input would be great thanks.

Its on the passenger side just behind the oil filter - youll see a cord coming from the block. All these trucks came with a block heater....and yours will have it - unless a PO uninstalled it.

Heres a pic:

Geez - thank you for posting that picture! I have been thinking my truck had no block heater because the guy I bought it from said it didn't since it is a CA truck. I live in MN so it will definitely be needed. I just looked at your pic - ran outside and sure enough there it is! The plug is just wrapped around and stuffed behine the headlight. Sweet! Thanks.

Dodge rebuilt my 97 I bought it used and rebuilt with 37ooo miles on it they did not reinstall a block heater My wife and I spent a cold winter in Minnesota my truck never missed a day I just cycled the key a few times and she would bust right off. I'm not saying it didnt run horribly rough and blow white smoke like crazy for a little while but it always started. Block heaters defintiely make it easier on our trucks but in my opinion are not absolutely necessary.
