what would be the best transmission for me in my truck? i dont want to spend a whole lot of money, i just want to know if i should build mine up or buy new? after what is listed in my sig i might do small injectors and a turbo housing, along with gauges.. please help i tired of the stock tranny.

If you get into yours before you kill it, you can probably get by with a good torque converter and valve body.

Don't wait, or you'll be spending lots more.

I put my ATS stuff in before I did any other mods just for this reason. Haven't had it together for too long, but haven't had any issues either.

Like DTR Member "Yellow Yota", I have been running a "Stage V Full Billet ATS Transmission" in my 1996 Dodge CTD 12 valve since 2001 with no problems whatsoever. I have made some "upgrades" over that time, but the transmission has hels up very, very well with alot of hard use. You can look at my "signature" to see where I am at H.P. wise.

There are other aftermarket transmission companies that are also good, some of those are: Suncoast and Goerend.
