Bent pushrods

Bent pushrods
So on my way home from school the other morning my truck started to act up. I lost all power and it was black smoking continuously (under any type of acceleration). I parked it and looked at my intercooler boots, and they all seemed fine. A few hours later I started my truck up and it cranked over slower than usual. It idled very lopey (sounded like a tractor) and white smoked the whole time. I found two bent pushrods I think #2 exhaust, and # 6 intake. I just replaced them both and adjusted all my valves. However, the problem still exists. I did notice a slight hissing noise when I was turning my engine to check valve clearances. I dont think my headgasket is blown, I checked my injectors, my timing is at 16.5, intercooler boots look good, new O.F.V a few years ago, fuel pressure seemed normal. I am stumped, does anybody have suggestions to my problem? My truck is a 94, 5 speed with 255,000 miles.

I had an older truck that done the same thing what had happened a bolt under the front gear hsg came out and locked the crank sheared the crank pin and bent some of the pushrods not saying that is what happened to yours but something to check. You did not over rev it did you?

The engine was not over rev'd. I think the bent pushrods were from a previous owner. This weekend I put a new set of injectors, O.F.V, and fuel filter in it. I am waiting for some return line washers to come in before I start it. I will update with results. Thanks for the reply.
