Battery replacement
The Optimas in my 2500 went for 12 years.
One is still powering a Kubota tractor.
10 years on the red tops in the 3500.
Only battery I buy now.
Even if they cost more it pays in the long run especially considering no more time wasted dealing with corrosion.

I've run all kinds of batteries over the years like 1000 CCA batteries from Canadian Tire with 9 year warranty. Replaced them both under warranty but got sick of one dead cell in the battery mid winter every year. Last time one died I chucked them out and got Optimas.
Thats the first thing I do when I buy a rig is pull the crappy vent cap corrision causeing style batt's and put in a nice Optima or sears
Platinum AGM that are mady by Enersys and on average have better cold cranking amps than Optimas do. Both are great though!
