battery questoins

Can some one give me the details on what our truck needs in a battery as far as CCAs, CAs, and reserve capacity? Also what can I was to clean off corrosion from the battery terminals and battery cables?
Thanks for your inputs

I think mine are 875cca each.

Take a kettle, heat some water like you are making tea. Go outside with the hot water and slowly pour it on your terminals. It will melt that stuff off like majic. Baking soda and water works too.

You have to be carefull with nutrualizes [ baking soda ] ect. . that now gets into battery , that will kill the acid / killing the battery .
There is 2 things that I always use , both in spray cans from auto parts store , 1st battery cleaner , spray on , let sit until foaming stops , somethimes multible times , each time a little scrubing with a brush you do not care about .
When everything is clean & dry the 2nd spray can is a protector , helps to keep from caroding in futrue .
In a pinch you can shake up a can of soda / coke seems the best , will desolve the whiteish stuff .
But what ever you do , do it in such a way as to not get any into the vent caps / battery .
