wondering if you have made a move on that thing yet? people seem to have forgotten to tell you that the auto has a smaller output shaft than the standard 4x4 you have to get a input shaft for your transfer case that is made to fit the standard i think its 29 spline. i have changed them out before its not too bad. when i did mine i had trouble with the oil pump and pickup tube in the transfer case. i broke the oil pump. i made it work again with a old tin coffee can and some engenuity. but be careful when you do it your transfer case should be designated 241 DLD and you need a 241 dhd iirc. oh.. i almost forgot i have a 241 dhd laying around if you want to buy the whole thing lemme know "not same tin can oil pump t-case" lol

Transfer case swap......
I sent you a PM about the NV241DHD. I'm after another conversion now. The front end! Going from the standard automatic hubs to manually locking hubs by retorfitting a Ford Dana 60 from a ttb using the outer axle shafts, hubs and spindles as well as rotors. If I can find Dodge parts for a similar price, I will go that route if it looks like they will fit.
I'm just a bit nervous driving up the ALCAN highway with a full time front end! Not to mention I like manual hubs better and the toughness of the older style as well as having a part time front end usually results in better fuel economy.

ok so the follow the pack here a yes a six is better but not as reliable and a five speed has a shifter hole rev high or up shift low
get rags still are an issue vs NV starters might need shims
and now for some thing completely different what about a auto four speed from a tree speed swap mmmmm 2wd only .....
