Who has done this conversion? I am ready to order some parts.....looks to be simple and straight forward:

Clutch pedal assy and linkage
master, slave and hyd line
floor plate, shifter and boot
minor wiring conversion
early 2nd gen ext hsg w/t-case shifter mounting lugs
replace 23 spline head gear in T-case with 29 spline gear
reman 4500 w/5th update and full spline shaft
SB Con OFE 13"/1.25 conversion kit w/wheel and release brg
Bell housing and shift fork
crossmember adapter for trans mount on stock member

Anything I'm forgetting?? I haven't figured out yet if the driveline will have to be changed out.

The adapter plate on the back of the engine is a differant thickness between the auto and 5spd.

 

Thanks Vordie.......between writing this and just a few minutes ago, I found a wrecked '01 HO 5600....dirt cheap. Of course you know what I have brewing now.......

But if it doesn't work out, then I will need a Manual trans adapter plate eh?

 

I would not mind converting to a six speed, the only problem is that you have an extra gear to go through to achieve the same top end speed as a 5spd "no help on topend"
