Auto trans. to NV4500 swap

Great site, and greetings to everyone...
I just purchased a '97 2500 with an auto that's hooped, and its been worked pretty hard, but what the hell, its a Cummins right...!? haha...
I just came across an early '98 3500(12 valve) with an NV4500HD, and want to swap in the manual. (both trucks are 4x4)
Should i swap in the entire steering column while i'm at it? Will the flywheel/bellhousings bolt right up(i'm assuming it will), and driveshaft need to be modified as well? Any fuel relay/wiring harness issues i should know of? Should i swap turbos while i'm in there too??
This is my first Cummins, and looking forward to tearing into it.
Thanks for all the help!
Cheers!
Dan

Bellhousing should bolt right up. Change flywheel of course. And yes, change turbos. The auto should have an hy-35, and the manual should have an hx-35, which is larger. Or, you can buy my hx-35 if yours is worn out. The injection pumps are also different, but interchangeable. The auto will have the 180 horse pump, and the manual will have the 215 hp pump. That's all I can think of now, there's probably more that other members will remember.
