anyone use the HF diesel compression tester

I am trying to determine if I have a burnt valve in the #5 cyclinder of my 95. I have switched injectors and the cylinder is still not firing. I would like to do a compression test and bought the Harbor Freight Diesel compression tester but it does not list a fitting for the CTD. I called a local tool house here and they list a B series adapter for $13 (snap on adapter was $80) anyway his catalog shows the number on the box for a 6bt but the box says it is for a Audi/Vw and does not mention the cummins on the box. Are they the same if so the HF set lists a Audi/Vw adapter and so I just might have it already. Any way there is no way I can get it torn down in the next few days so I thought I would ask if anyone here has already used the HF tester on their 12v CTD. Please don't write to tell me how crappy HF stuff is if it will work in this instance it will be worth it. Thanks for any help.

Afraid I can't answer your question, but I've wondered the same thing. Maybe someone else will pop on here and know.
