Alternator problem?
Alternator problem?
I have been having some power issues. More specifically, it seems as if my alternator is not charging my batteries as much as it used to. But if i ignore it for a couple days, it goes away. Another thing is that my truck is running hot, about 100-200 degrees hotter EGTs than normal. Could my grid heaters be on constantly somehow or am i way off the map?

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Common issue with Alt is brushes. Most alt/starter shop has in stock and easy to install. Clean slips rings at same time. Have alt tested free at friendly parts store while its off. This beats on vehicle testing. Check batteries separatelly also. You got to have power to start.
Could thinned down fuel be causing your EGT issue? It's cold up there and fuel must flow.
Might be getting time for starter contacts also.
