Can anyone tell me what is the actual difference in the intake neck on a 12 valve and the CR engines? Or the earlier 24v?

I want to get an AFE Blade Runner but they dont show one for a 12V. The bolt pattern looks the same to me, Can anyone tell me if they are or not?

 

I dont think they are interchangable. options for the 12v are ats, cfm+, and garret at purediesel power is making them. oh and the banks twin ram but i hear thats rather expensive. hope that helps

 

The 12v is mounted further back on the head than the 24v's. 24v comes out perpindicular to the head, while the 12v comes out and goes to the front. If you made a slightly longer boost tube from the aftercooler with a bit of a bend in it, you should be able to make it work. Also make sure there is enough clearance with the injection lines. I need a 1" thick spacer between the heater and the air horn for it to clear the lines, but that is on a different head.
