Aftermarket Exhaust = Gasket Between Turbo And Downpipe???
Aftermarket Exhaust = Gasket Between Turbo And Downpipe???
OK, I have the aftermarket 4" turbo back in the shop. Silverline kit including big muffler. Came with a one-sheet "instruction" and a big bag of exhaust clamp u-bolts, nothing else.
It there supposed to be a gasket between the turbo outlet and the downpipe? It's a smooth flared "mouth" on the downpipe, with a collar to bolt up to turbo flange (and I have not looked at THAT yet - praying for clean bolts)
One more step in my 12-hundred step CTD education, coming up. Hubby is whining because truck is running hotter after the transmission was serviced - they redid the lines to cooler to get rid of those stupid nylon snap lock things, adjusted bands and gave it new fluid and filter - stock tranny.
Thanks guys,
Kate

nope just a v band clamp is all that mates the two ensure its clean, and thats about it. make sure your down pipe matches the size of your turbo outlet. If your kit is for the HX35 turbo and thats the correct down pipe you can reuse your v-band clamp.
