AFC breakoff screw?

Hi,
I am going to change out my fuel plate and the kit from TST contains another breakoff screw. Why would anyone want to put this screw back? I could see if I was under warrenty then maybe. Is there some other reason or should I put a normal screw back in its place for easier access later? I ordered #11 plate (280HP 680 lb-ft) AFC spring kit and KDP kit. Any other hints, tips or advise before I start this project would be appreicated! Thanks!

Glenn

I've heard that some states emissions testing check it to make sure it hasn't been tampered with... other than that I don't see why you wouldn't just put a screw in there.

My truck had the banks plate installed, and had the nice black paint, with the yellow stripe on the different bolts and DV's holders. But if it becomes a problem just say u had to service the pump, lol. Ur serving it with more fuel to lube it :-D

it is mainly used for warranty purposes. Put a regular screw back in there save yourself the grief later on. Ct emmissions testing does not even pop your hood. Its an opacity test.

lol yea I just saw that thread. Well i'd do what I have to do to get a truck inspected, but when someones buying somthing from me I just let it all out in the air so they don't feel cheated if they run into somthing.

I just passed a few days ago! 1.5 (they allowed 40). I wonder if I will be able to get it through with the #11 plate? Guess time will tell!

lol, i always tell people that the more fuel u push through a diesel the more it likes it because it balances the lubriction better in the pump and cylinders... Knowing I have no clue what im talking about... :-D

I have made it through at over 600hp no need to worry about your plate choice.

At the end of this week I will have the time to start installing the plate and maybe go for the KDP too. I know with the fuel plates smoke can become an issue. I figured emissions could be a problem, so I ordered a AFC spring kit to help in this area. Good hopefully every two years I won't have to put it back to stock to pass.
