that's to much for a 17 year old truck, Heck I only paid $19,999 with zero tax back in 2003 for a new 2002 x cab 24V SLT 4x4 with 4 miles on it-- I sold it in 2006 for $14,000 on trade for a Dmax (don't ask)

Rust free is not all they must be to be a great truck. I look after my truck as I do my wife. I don`t put off anything for later;I like to fix what it needs when I see it needs it. I have never sold anything and ever hear a complaint about it.I sold a 92 ranger club cab 4 liter std to one friend and when I called him to give him the list of parts I added from when I bought it . he had sold it for more $$ than I asked.I found out it when through three guys and was driven another 100000 kl by the last owner.I never in my 62 years sold anything that I knew need repair and pass it off to someone .

speaking about that, I have a customer who makes a TON of money doing exactly that- all he does is transport and resell nice clean used rigs up north. His normal route is Vegas & LA up to the great lakes area. He is one of those guys pulling a huge gooseneck full of cars with a 4th gen RAM.

I think it is all in the eye of the beholder, and what a person wants and willing to pay for an item. I have also turned down good money, $15,000 for my 95 "spotless" 4x4 with 45,000 miles.. Most will say and argue that is way too much for a 2nd generation, but if that is what someone really wants, so be it. I don't like to "beat" someone up for what they want, and willing to pay. Good luck with your decision.

Except for the easy to work around catalytic converter these were some of the last vehicles built in the US without a bunch of smog crap.
Plus they are simple.
Makes them worth a lot and getting more expensive every day.

copenhagenangel...2 months ago I paid exactly that (12,900) for my '97 12 valve 3500, extended cab, 4x4, 5 speed manual, 130,000 miles....if the truck you are looking at is a single cab or an automatic I would say it is somewhat high on price
