Re:adjusting the cam plate
Last, but not least, a #6 plate.

Hopefully this isn't too boring for those who have seen many, for me it was very interesting to see the different profiles. ;D

Consider the variation between cuts for autos vs those for the manual trans. I'll post a couple of pics. The flat or "0" plate is likely to be too much either way, especially without improving air flow. [Too much fuel, let alone too much for the clutch.]

k&n, magnaflow muffler, and a gutted cat take care of that. my wastegate is disabled. it's hard pressed to hit 1100* while accelerating unlocked, and hard pressed to hit 1200* locked, WOT OD. once i get a 3,000 rpms gsk, then i should be looking at around 1400-1500*.

Re:adjusting the cam plate
Although reference has been made to EGTs, I don't think anyone has stressed the need for gauges, especially an EGT gauge. If you look at my profile you'll see what I've done. My good old '96' makes 375hp at the rear wheels. Adding fuel is the easy part. Keeping the EGTs down is always the challenge. To add more air requires freer air flow and turbo mods.

Just my $.02
Gene
