99 Automatic Trans in a 96

Would it be possible to put a 99 tranny into a 12v, if so what would it take??? I have acess to a BD tranny that has fairly low miles but came out of a 99.

I have read that the 99 RE has more computer control items on it. It my not be a direct swap.

Which one was used in the 94s?
I just aqquired a 98 club 4 dr cab 4wd without the engine transmission.
I am thinking about putting a transmission from a 94 in it. But then I might have problems with the computer setup.

Any comments would be of interest,

Tom

RH was used in '94
The computer (PCM) is very specific to the model year and auto or manual.
I've found you can't just swap them around without something not working.
In fact some even have a different connector.
Sometimes the differences can be corrected by a dealer reflash, sometimes not. If you are an electrical whiz you might be able to rewire things to work.

As Gump would say, "That's all I know about that"
