98 dv question

When I was doing the timing on my engine I noticed that my dv holders do not look the same as in the manuals and what I see on websites for dv's.

Also, there was no washer below the dv holder....

Is this a change in model year for the pump?

You will notice that mine go "in" instead of out at the bottom..

If I ever decide to upgrade to a larger dv will this be a problem?

Thats what 181's use for the pressure valve holder. 181's came in 180 and 215 pumps. Not supposed to have washers under it, those were scattered in the 160/175 pumps. It won't cause and issue when you swap DV's, as they come with the holders.

If you want just a slight more fueling...You could use 131 holders...Give just a bit more fuel but nothing really crazy..
