I am looking at a 98 12v and was wondering if it would have the block that is prone to crack.

 

Check to make sure it's not a #53 block. If it's not, you are good to go. There are plenty of threads here to explain where to look for the casting #. Hope this helps.

 

Besides, most 53 12V blocks don't crack anyway.

Seems to be more of a 24V thing.

Sweet. Whats a 98 12v with 87000 miles worth? It's in good shape and it has a hydra bed (hay bale unrolling bed) on it. Truck is a auto 4x4.

 

That's a nice Truck Bud and a rare Bird with that mileage Loli would jump on it quick before someone else does! Don't let the bed scare you I had one on my truck and sold it for a nice profit shortly there after..

 

I want the bed just wondered what the truck was worth minus the bed.

 

A bunch....... single cab, probably 6500-8K Ext. cab 7500-9K.

With that few miles the sharks will be circling...........where did you say that truck was?
