212k with no work on my stock auto tranny, over 200k of it with mods.
Think a lot has to do with the previous owner's driving habits.

I also had 212K miles on my tranny before I did anything. Even when I upgraded, there was nothing really wrong with the tranny except I could slip the OD clutches if I was pulling and overdid the accelerator. At least 30K of the miles were BOMBed, also, and I had a lockup switch.

I think that the trannies in the Dodges get a bum wrap; my friends with fords have more trouble than I.

With no bombs the stock tranny should hold up.....they are sloppy shifting and the cooler lines could become disconnected (which happened to mine) because of the quick release fitting gettin worn.....they are happy campers with synthetic ATF in them

I highly advise anyone with a 47RH look at your cooler lines for any leakage at the quick disconnect it means the couplers are loose if they disconnect on the highway you'll burn up a tranny

A '95 would have the 185, what some refer to as the small pump. It's the hp rating. In their stock form you might find a 185 to be a dog compared to a stock 24 valve though. With a cam plate and some adjustments they can be made to put out quite a bit of hp for a small amount of money. With the addition of delivery valves they can get up there with the 500hp + guys.

I believe pre '96 2nd gen autos had a 160 HP pump. Your auto is a 47RH too.

Pumps #'s and what they mean:
94-95 auto= 160hp pump
94-95 stick= 175hp pump
96-98 auto=180hp pump
96-98 stick=215hp pump (unless you got a CA truck, then it's stuck with a 180 pump)

Sorry to say, but dealing with auto's on a daily basis (truck shop), you guys that keep the stock autos running, don't know what you're missing by not upgrading to a trans that's more efficient in transfering power to the ground. I'm not trying to turn it into an argument, but it's an obvious night and day difference.
