95 ctd into a 01 gas 3/4 ton?

a fella that I work for occasionally bought a nice 01 gas job for a service truck. He also has a 95 ctd that is low mileage but suffers major frame damage at the rear end.The other day he asked me if I would like to swap them over to make a 12v 01.they are both 2wd autos.I know the engine and tranny will swap but will i run into problems with abs brakes or front suspension,or any thing else?

Nothing to lose, go for it. There are guys putting 4bt's and 6bt's into everything from jeeps to monte carlos to 39 chevy rat rods. It's just a matter of determination and skill. Look on youtube there are tons of conversions on there. Payment sounds decent.

I think that the only limit to anything is your imagination so go for it it cant be that hard putting it back into a dodge. The new truck my buddy is buying is a '67 Ford Crew 350 cab combined with a '97 dodge 2500 cummins. There is alot more dodge in this ford than just the motor and tranny. Is is a very impressive truck to say the least.

Well, it's got to be better than driving that old '95 with frame damage around. At least it's an apples to apples swap, perhaps he'd like to find an NV4500 trans to swap in there while he's at it...?

Here is a website that is for 4bt conversions. I am pretty confident that alot of information will be the same for the 6bt. Plus, if you search there are probably 100 other websited dedicated to conversions of one sort or anther. Keep us posted on yuor progress. I have a 6bt I will be putting in a project as soon as I decide what. I am leaning toward the rat rod.

Here is another:

Here is a link to alot of topics about 4bt swaps. Again, I thin some issues will crossover to 6bt swaps. It's just a matter of sifting through all the information.
