hey guys my tranny gave out on me the other day and would not move no pump whining or anything. i got in it today and tried it out and it was fine but u could here the pump whinining. does anybody know wat could be causing this or is my tranny just shot. any advice would be appreciated

 

Sounds like the torque converter ck the fluid level

 

fluid level was fine i changed my oil and it is goin again but not for long. has anybody here ever bought a transmission from pheonix remanufactured. they have a heavy duty one and was wonderin if anybody here has purchased one

 

i can't remember the link, but there is a site dedicated to exposing pheonix trans. for the frauds they supposedly are. i have heard nothing but bad about them, so be careful

yeah i kinda figured their price was to good to be true. i really want o goerend but cant afford it. do u think if i just rebuilt it and got a valve body and tc would it hold up?
