Question 95 auto trouble?

A guy at work has a 95 12v with a auto trans, He is saying when he 1st fires the truck it will not move till it sit's and runs for a while then it drives fine after that. The tranny has been replaced and the torque has been replaced 2 times. Does any body out there know about or have had this problem? Any help would be great!

The problem is likely flow back. He should put it in neutral for a minute or so. There is supposed to be a valve on the cooler line...I forget where right now. Someone will jump in.

'95s had a recall to install a check ball (anti-flow back) Either the recall wasn't done or the check ball was removed. Many folks remove them to eliminate any restriction to the cooler. I don't have the ball in mine and just live with the slow time to fill the TC. Any warm ups should be done in N to speed fill up.

Mine did that a couple times when I first got it so I just leave mine in N and step on the parking brake,i never put it in park and it never drains back that I can tell.I start it up watch the oil pressure guage go over and take off no problem.

Just tell him to let it idle in neutral for a second, and that circulates the fluid, and should pretty much eleminate the problem.
