94 Engine & Chassis/1996 Cab

I have a 1994 3500 that was burned, I replaced the cab with a 1996 cab (including under hood and engine wiring harness). I can't get the tach., oil pressure gauge, fuel gauge, alternator gauge nor the alternator to work. Is there a common denominator that I should look for?

thanks

your swaping to a 96 harness and PCM right? are you getting comunication with a scan tool. everything in the cluster shares a ground (maybe 2) but the altenator gets a signal from the PCM to charge. its also possible that the sensors from the 94 are not compatible with the 96 (96 should be OBD2), lastly the fire could have simply damaged the altenator. I have no idea how to use this forum. Are there instructions somewhere, I've looked everywhere I can think of.
thanks
