6spd better than 5spd?

I keep getting myself in deeper.
I found a 6spd with everyting I need to do the conversion except a rear drive shaft for $2,500.00 cash.
Is this a better trans for the money than the 5spd?
If I get the 6spd, I will be selling my 47rh and the 2wd nv4500 I just bought. if anyone is interested.
Might help me make up my mind if I can sell the others.

What are you doing with the truck? If you tow a lot, the 6 speed is a vastly superior transmission due to the gears being more tightly spaced. If you drive around empty, then the 5 speed is probably easier(less shifting). I have driven both a lot and would prefer the 6 for what I do but the 5 works fine.

Is the 6 speed that you are talking about a nv5600? If so, you might want to look into parts availability, I know it is getting much harder.

It's getting harder to get all NV parts now that they are out of business.
Some of my old standbys don't carry any NV parts now.
Before long the junkyard will be the only place for parts.
