Question 60 lb valve springs

I recently bought a motor and it was said that it had 60lb valve springs. Is there any way to tell if it really does have them?

Are you planning to run an exhaust brake on it?

I have heard that the 97's had 60lb springs stock. No one seems to know about the 96's though.

dodges never came with them. most have a white strip painted down the side of them. and they are not really cone shaped, i would say more of a slight bee hive shape to them, bigger in the center and smaller on the ends. they have a lot more coils than the stock springs.

Those springs on the left are what came in my 97 and I can assure you, one look at that pic, they were not 60lbs springs.

I am not sure what year 1999 or 2000 came stock with 60lb springs everything older than that were the 35lb springs.
