Well the 47RH finally bit the dust for about the 6th time.
I went to get it a little muddy for a local competition cheerleading squads car-wash and it bit the dust.
I got it apart the pump was completely ruined.. and the internals got a little hot.
So we rebuilt the NV4500 we had laying around at the shop.
Finally got all the parts together it took two weeks to locate a shifter, and a flywheel for a NV5600 (reasonably priced).
So tomorrow night hopfully it'll be banging some gears!
Only replaced the bearings and blocking rings, and 1st syncro in the NV4500 so it wasn't that costly of a O/H. Got a brand new clutch and flywheel to throw up in. Unfortunately the shifter is out of some old 6spd and is very large but it'll have to do for now, if anyone has a spare shifter f/s send me a pm!

But I figured while the ole girl was out of comission now would be the perfect time to clean up underneath the hood. So I got the intake painted, all the tubes, and the valve covers painted tomorrow. I will post pictures after the swap is complete. Just though I would let you all know I was converting to the dark side to!

 

What keeps killing your trans? I am thinking of using this kind of trans but I am just curious why does your trans keep failing?
