i know it all been coverd before , but i cant find it , i was told dont go over 230hp on a 53 block, yes that is what,s in the beast, i got a #12 plate, and wanting to go with a #10, i have the 3k spring kit but all so was told dont install it untill i get the 10, wount work with the 12,(so its not installed yet) so let me know what all if the 53 block guys are doing, and all of your thoughts on this thanks, all so i just pulled around 600 miles with about 9000# 5th wheel, found out i have a low rpm (around 950 to 1200 rpm) miss, feel it more with the load on , can this be the over flow valve???, truck does not tow realy a lot, a lot of hight way driving, (70 to 75), thanks

I'm running 300/750 pulling 28000 to 32000lbs every few days. Mine hasn't split yet! I do get nervous when I smell antifreeze!

 

What moron said that? The block doesn't care wether you're stock or bombed. Worry more about your dowel pin or timing case bolts or 5th gear.

Also, yes you can do your 3k springs....they'll work great now.
