I have a small problem. I beleive the front seal on the transmission is leaking. Need to get that fixed but I would also like to beef the tranny for towing a fifth wheel trailer. Truck Dodge 3500 Dually Diesel and trailer weigh 16,600#s total. What would you say would be the items that need changed for a stronger transmission? Where would I purchase these items? Thanks for your input.

I just had an ATS stage 4 trans installed with their triple lock torque converter, along with other performance mods. I'm very happy with it, shifts are crisper and at occur lower RPM and I can tow in overdrive (even up hills, though not steep hills). If you don't want to do the entire transmission, I would reccomend the ATS triple lock torque converter and a heavy duty valve body.

Yep! What brewerman said is good advice! You'll spend a pocketfull of money but you will not ever worry about your AT again. Visit the ATS website for an idea of costs. They warranty thier AT's for 2-yes-2 full years regardless of mileage per the website.

Call Dave Goerend. He's as knowledgeable as anyone and his price can't be beat. As far as I know, he'll work with your local guy as well. He has a 100K mile warranty on his trans and unlimited miles on the converter.

He's also a great guy to do business with and he won't sell you anything you don't need....
