4x4 High not engaging

Last couple times I tried to use 4x4, could not get it to engage, no interior 4x4 light no power to the front wheels, the 4x4low works perfect. Not familiar with the transfer case in this truck yet but sounds like I'm about to be, any thoughts? Thanks...

if 4L works then so shud 4H. both engage the chain in the tcase. are you moving the truck when trying to engage 4H. im assuming you are. (and yes i know what assuming does lol) check all of your vacuum hoses going to the tcase and front axle

If 4lo works, that indicates that the CAD is operating correctly. I'd make sure your linkage is adjusted properly and that its moving far enough to engage 4wd.

With the truck off and in 2wd, make sure the front driveshaft spins freely. Put it in 4hi and check again. If it doesn't turn, jack up one of the front wheels and check. If the front shaft still turns, you're not engaging in the t-case. If it doesn't turn, it could be the vacuum switch on the t-case.

OK, had someone look at it while they were doing something else and they said its the 4wd actuator, that the front driveshaft spins but isnt spinning the wheels. Looks like an easy piece to replace ($100 part), except other than the electrical there was only one hose leaving the actuator and it was capped and tucked inside the frame! I'm confused, the 4wd worked fine a month ago...Thanks again for any help...

There should be two vacuum lines going to the actuator.
