4wd problems
well i bought the posi-lok system as it was cheaper and looks more reliable. how long does this take to install??? it looks fairly simple from the pictures.... still waiting to get it in the mail. and where is the best place to put the switch to engage the front axle? thanks!!
Since the cable on the posi-lock is really tough to bend, it's best to put it where they say to (under the dash to the right of the gas pedal) and drill the hole through the firewall using the template provided by them. I put one on my truck after having to struggle home 50 miles in the snow in 2WD last winter. It will easily shift into 4WD on the fly, you MUST engage the 4WD t-case lever first, and THEN pull the posi-lock **** out.

well i installed the posi-lok kit last night and it actually went pretty smooth.... took me way longer than it should have but so do most things when i'm working on my truck.... it is more fun that way. but all you have to do is follow the directions and you shouldn't have any problems. it works great and there is never any doubt if i'm in 4wd or not. it will take some getting used to however but it will be a-ok. i would strongly recommend this product.... (if i am allowed to do so)
thanks for all the help and if anyone has any questions i would be more than happy to help.
