48re swap to 47rh in FORD350! - HELP!
Now that I have your attention... I'm in need of info if anyone can help would be great!
I have a 1996 Ford350 which is sporting a 1997-98 cummins with a 48re tranny - ats valve body and stand alone controller which for the life of me can get to work properly. So I have in stock a 1993 automatic (came off a cummins) which I was told from Dodge is a a618/47rh? All I really need to know is if the 1993 tranny will bolt on the 1997 cummins. I do realize that the older rh tranny is longer than the re, but I just want to make sure it will bolt to the cummins.
