47RH Cold Shifting Problem 1994
47RH Cold Shifting Problem 1994
Drove a 94 Cummins auto that looks all stock. 200K miles. When cold, 30* all the way up to full operating temperature, it will not shift to a higher gear until about 2700 rpm or so. It seems to start defueling at that rpm too so it needs some tweaking.
Does this seem like a TPS or some other adjustment or deeper trouble?
I did not drive it to full operating temp., short on time. This may get swapped into an older truck, if you know what I mean?

I'd say pass it up, and send the tranny to me
.
I'm no expert on the 47rh, but I know with my tranny, when it is cold, it delays the shifting a little bit. You may want to post this in the 2nd Gen section, more people would know about it over there.
