47rh shifting real funny
Alright guys this may be a little lengthy so bare with me please. First the problem, my truck is skipping third gear. In other words, as soon as it shifts out of second, forth is applied. It does not matter what the throttle position is it always does it, EXCEPT the first time it goes from first through forth. So imagine this, you shift from park to drive and hit the pedal. It will shift fine through all gears 1,2,3, and 4 until you come to a stop (or slow down enough to engage second) and speed back up it will go 1,2 and 4 from now on. Now then, while driving or at a stop if you shift into neutral or park and back into drive before third is supposed to be applied it will shift through all gears 1,2,3,4 like when you go from park to drive, but just that one time. Also, during the first 1-4 before 4th is applied, if you hit the od off everything will work as normal. 4th wont come in and converter locks, normal. However, after the first 1-4, when it goes 1,2,4 if you hit the od off it only locks the converter and will not down shift to third, at any speed in 4th.
I have checked the od off switch and cleaned the contacts, no change. Ive also checked and adjusted the tps with no change. I can only assume the truck has done this since I bought it because I got it with 4th gear gone. I also replaced the shift solenoids during the rebuild. Trucks in sig, thanks guys!

Who over-hauled the tranny?
The 2nd gear band is released in 3rd gear by the servo.
Check your band adjustments, bout sounds like the servo is messed up, ask the tech if he replaced the sealing rings for the servo.

I did the transmission, yes I replaced the servo sealing rings. Its got the Superior super servo kit. Ill check the bands, but if it were the bands wouldn't it be doing this every time instead of just after the first 1-4 cycle? Checking bands tomorrow, sleep for now!

Ok, I adjusted the bands but that gave no change. I have a feeling it an electrical problem. Its like somethings telling the pcm to turn on od way to early after the first 1-4 shifts.
