Need a new Trans Temp Sensor on my 97 2500 4x4 w/ 47re trans! The local auto parts store is useless when it comes to looking up parts!
Does anybody have a part# &/or brand name of manufacture of the TRANS TEMP SENSOR, so I can order it (is this a dealer only part?)?

I beleave that sensor is part of the internal harness , I thin napa may have carried it .

I think they are internal in the solenoid pack. I know they are on the gm's and fords.

 

Okay Thanks, then I must've just changed it when I changed the OD solenoid! The solenoid included all the electronic internals. Was showing codes for both OD & trans temp...So, problem solved! Thanks again
Just so everyone is aware, I was showing NO CODES by turning the key on & off 3 times and counting the blinks of the "check engine" light. I had to go to a repair shop to get the codes using a professional OBD snap-on scanner.
