47RE downshift to 1st/slipping?
47RE downshift to 1st/slipping?
Sometimes when Im rolling up to an intersection to make a turn, I slow down but dont need to come to a complete stop before turning.
I hit the accelerator and it seems to barely move. I have to get the RPMs up to about 1750 before any action.
Its acting as though its in too high of a gear or slipping.
Sometime its a bit dangerous if Im making a left turn and there is oncoming traffic.
It doesnt seem to kick down into first until nearly completely stopped. Is that normal?
Im not positive it should even be in first gear when this happens, since my 1-2 and 2-3 up shifts are all under 20 mph.
Anyone experience this or have any ideas?
BTW, tranny is recently rebuilt by a local shop (approx 8k miles ago)

Does it eventually grab/shift and then go?
If so...it sounds like 1st or 2nd gear going out. Prob not what you wanna hear but I'd definitely take it back to the trans shop that did the work.
