I am thinking of installing a higher gear ratio in my 97. It has 3.55s right now running the dana 70 with limited slip. I know I could potentially get better highway mileage with 3.31 gears, but what is the downside?? Would I purchase an entire rearend assemly or only the ring and pinion? Also, does anyone know where I could get the parts for this setup??

IMO thats not enough of a change in ratio to warrant it. use this calculator to see what RPM you would be spinning with different ratios.
