1996 Dodge Ram 2500 no overdrive

Hi all, I've been looking through everything I can on this problem, I can't find anything that really seems to fit though.
I recently bought a 1996 Ram 2500 cummins, I guess that means it has 47re transmission. I bought it on the assumption that the tps was the only fault making overdrive not work.
I took the gps off and cleaned it, it went into overdrive once on the interstate and hasn't worked again.
I went with a tps delete kit and I can feel it controling the lockup, but still no overdrive.
Where would you start to look next?
Thanks all

I see it, I just don't know anything helpful. It's been a long time since I've owned the one auto I had. A 95 model. And that was before the interwebs. I think I had trouble with the tps also, if I remember correctly. What's the other one control, the crank sensor, iirc?

Ended up finding a deal on a rebuilt trans and billiet torque converter.
I now have overdrive, although it seems to shift into overdrive a little harshly when driving normally. If I floor it, it shifts as smooth as silk interestingly enough.
