I been trying to figure out a shifting problem with a 1996 dodge 2500 4x4 cummins i bought a couple months ago. after many hours of following wires changing the tps and solenoid in the valve body and putting about 60 hours in chasing wires and grounds and other possible problems i resorted to taking it to a tranny shop. After diagnostics and having the truck over the weekend they changed the governor solenoid and the transducer and the fluid and pin tested it and pressure tested it to find out that it is a missing relay. the asd relay in the fuse box was missing. it was not there when i bought the truck so i assumed it wasnt neccecery. duhh. So i guess i just wanted to share my story cause i'm frusterated. that because of a 10 dollar part my tranny shop bill is 750.00. I hope that maybe this will help someone else.
