Today I noticed a drip of oil coming from between the hood and drivers side fender...Open the hood, and what do I see, or don't see??? I no longer have a dip stick handle. I assume the dipstick is still in there, but I can't see it. I guess I'll have to pull out the dipstick tube to get it out.

Who's got a part number??

I got a new one from dodge when this happened to me. Dont have the part number and they did not have it in stock either. I used a small and strong magnet to get the stick out of the tube. ANd if your thinking of fixing it by welding on a new handle forget it. I did it and lasted a yr or so and broke off again. I would braze it on if I had to do it again tho. 50$ or so for a new stick.

 

Just give Cummins the serial # off your engine data plate, and they'll know which part numer to get you. They're cheap, like 25 bucks.

 

Cummins wanted $55.00, Dealer wanted $65.00. I have a friend that works at the dealer, and I ended up getting it for $40.
